FRED WOLINSKY -- Puppeteer Background
Fred began performing puppet shows in his backyard at a very early age. When he later studied theater at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center, he was thrilled to work with Margo and Rufus Rose (the creators of Howdy Doody) and he even met the original Howdy Doody puppet.
Later, Fred worked professionally as a puppeteer with a wide variety of puppet styles for Nicolo Marionettes (now Puppetworks), and Pickwick Puppet Theatre.
Fred was the Founder, Producer, and Director of Pegasus Productions Inc., producing national touring shows with live actors and life-sized puppets, 1979-88. He created, wrote, produced, coordinated the building and production, trained the performers, and directed the shows for:
